Big Takeover # 55 (Jack Rabid)
This trio hailing from Leeds hits me like a hailstorm
on a summer day, and I¹m loving the heat and the noise.
Sharing members of Red Monkey and Him, Bilge Pump do some
strange avant garde noise prog math pop that pushes screaming
guitar bites into your veins while the drums move nonstop
constant from playing heavy Shellac like grooves to just head
shaking Led Zeppelin rollings around. The vocals and angular
play of the melodics, or , non-melodics, hit on a Gang of
Four vibe at times, but it¹s when the drums and guitar
just hit that the band really hits.
